This short morning prayer is for asking God to guide your business, your decisions, and the people you will meet before the day gets busy. Pray it as you start your day, ideally before you open email, check the schedule, or unlock the door. You can read it aloud exactly as written, or use it as a starting point and speak in your own words.
Short Morning Prayer for My Business
Lord, I start this day by handing my business to you. You know the payroll that has to go out, the invoices I am waiting on, the client who has not answered, and the decision I have been putting off. Give me clear thinking when I sit down at my desk, and help me tell the difference between urgent noise and what truly matters today.
Father, go before me into every conversation. Make me honest with my customers and fair with my team, and keep me from cutting corners when I feel pressed. Where I am anxious about money or the future, remind me that the work is yours and I am only a steward of it. Let my words be kind and my pace be steady.
Thank you for the people who depend on this business and for the ones who depend on me at home. Bless the work of my hands today, and let whatever I build or sell reflect your care for the people it serves. Amen.
A Shorter Version to Pray in a Moment
Lord, I bring my business to you again this morning. Give me wisdom for the first decision I face, patience with the people I work with, and honesty in every deal. Steady my heart when the numbers worry me, and help me do today’s work well for your glory. Amen.

How to Pray This Prayer
Try praying this just after you wake and before you check your phone or email. Sit at your desk, at the kitchen table, or wherever you start your workday, and keep a pen nearby. If a specific client, supplier, or employee is on your mind, name them quietly as you pray.
You can also invite someone else to pray it with you, such as a business partner, a spouse, or a friend who runs a business too. Pray it aloud together over a cup of coffee, and agree to pray for each other’s work through the week.
A Blessing to Close
May the Lord go before you into every meeting, call, and decision today. May he give you clear sight, steady hands, and a kind word for everyone you meet, and may your work bring honor to the One who gave it to you.
