This list gives you King James Version verses about God’s faithfulness, grouped by the seasons of life when you most need to remember that God keeps his word. It is written for anyone who wants to read, memorize or pray Scripture about the steadiness of God’s character. Every passage here points to the same truth: God does not change, and what he has promised he will do.

Verses for Mornings When You Doubt God Will Come Through

Some days the first thing you feel when you wake is uncertainty about the future. The verses in this section remind you that God’s faithfulness is not based on your mood or your circumstances, but on who he is.

Lamentations 3:22-23

22 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

(KJV)

Jeremiah wrote these words from the ruins of Jerusalem, yet he still found reason to hope. Before you check your phone or look at the day’s list, speak these words aloud and let them set the tone for the hours ahead.

Deuteronomy 7:9

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations…

(KJV)

Moses reminded Israel that the God who called them is the one who keeps covenant across generations. When you feel forgotten, consider writing this verse on an index card and placing it where you will see it while you make coffee.

Psalm 36:5

Thy mercy, O LORD , is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

(KJV)

David describes God’s faithfulness as reaching to the clouds, vast and unending. Let the image of the sky widen your view of a problem that feels small and close, and ask God to show you how far his care extends.

Verses for Seasons When Promises Seem Delayed

Waiting is one of the hardest parts of trusting God. The passages here speak to people who have prayed for a long time without seeing an answer, and they show that God’s timing and God’s faithfulness belong together.

Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

(KJV)

The writer of Hebrews urges believers to hold fast their confession without wavering. If you are tired of waiting, practice this by naming one specific promise you are holding and telling a trusted friend about it this week.

2 Timothy 2:13

If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

(KJV)

Paul writes that even when we are unfaithful, God remains faithful, because he cannot deny himself. When you feel you have failed in prayer or in obedience, remember that his reliability does not depend on your performance.

Isaiah 49:15-16

15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.

(KJV)

God compares his care to a mother’s love for the child she nursed and then carries in her heart. When you feel forgotten during a long wait, pause and picture your name written on his hands, then pray for the patience to rest there.

Psalm 89:1

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

(KJV)

The psalmist commits to singing of God’s mercies forever and making his faithfulness known to every generation. Try turning your waiting into testimony by sharing one way you have already seen God faithful in your life.

Verses for Times of Fear and Uncertainty

When the future feels unsafe, you need more than general comfort. These verses root your fear in the character of a God who keeps his promises, even when you cannot see how.

1 Corinthians 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

(KJV)

Paul tells the Corinthians that God will not let them be tested beyond what they can bear and will provide a way out. When a temptation or pressure feels overwhelming, look for the way of escape he promises and take the next small step toward it.

Psalm 46:1-2

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea…

(KJV)

The psalm names God as a refuge and strength, present in trouble even when the earth shakes. In an anxious moment, name the thing you fear out loud and then name God as your refuge in the same breath.

Matthew 28:20

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

(KJV)

Jesus closes Matthew’s Gospel with a promise to be with his disciples always. When you are frightened about being alone with a problem, speak his presence into the room and ask him to show himself close.

Psalm 91:2

I will say of the LORD , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

(KJV)

The psalmist calls the Lord his refuge and fortress and his God in whom he trusts. Write the phrase “my God, in whom I trust” on a note in your wallet or pocket as a reminder to return to him throughout the day.

Verses for Remembering God’s Faithfulness in Hard Days

Hard days can make us forget what God has already done. These passages call you to remember, to look back at his past faithfulness and let it strengthen you for what comes next.

Psalm 100:5

For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

(KJV)

The psalm declares that the Lord is good, his mercy is everlasting, and his truth endures to all generations. Begin your evening by naming three ways you have seen God’s goodness that day, however small.

Psalm 103:2

Bless the LORD , O my soul, and forget not all his benefits…

(KJV)

David urges himself not to forget the benefits of God. Keep a simple list of answered prayers and past provisions, and read it when a new difficulty tempts you to think God has changed.

Revelation 19:11

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

(KJV)

John sees a rider called Faithful and True, a picture of Christ at the end of history. When you wonder whether anything will ever be made right, rest in the image of a Savior whose name already declares his trustworthiness.

Joshua 21:45

There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

(KJV)

After Israel entered the land, Joshua testified that not one good promise of the Lord had failed. Use this verse to look back over a year of your own life and mark the promises you have seen fulfilled.

Psalm 145:13

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

(KJV)

The psalmist says the Lord is faithful in all his words and holy in all his works. Consider reading this aloud before a conversation or decision where you need to remember that God’s word can be trusted.

How to Use These Verses

Choose two or three verses from this list that speak to your current season and write them on a card, in a journal or on a note on your phone. Reading them slowly at the start of your day, rather than rushing through a long list, gives each one room to settle into your thinking.

You might also pray a verse back to God, turning the sentence into a request. Ask him to be faithful in the specific area you are facing, and then watch for the ways he answers over the following days. Returning to the same passages across several weeks often reveals new depth you missed the first time.

A Short Prayer for God’s Faithfulness

Lord, you have kept your promises from the first generation until now, and I thank you for that steady character. When my heart wanders into worry, bring me back to the truth that you do not change and that your mercies are new each morning. Teach me to remember what you have already done, and to trust what you have said you will do. Help me rest in your faithfulness today, even where I cannot yet see the way forward. Amen.
