This prayer is for the times you want to lift your brothers and sisters before God but do not know where to begin. Pray it at the start of your day, over a family meal, or whenever a sibling’s name comes to mind. You can read it aloud exactly as written, or use it as a starting point and speak in your own words.
Christian Prayer for My Siblings
Lord, thank You for the brothers and sisters You have given me. Some of them I have known my whole life, and some I have only come to understand as adults. You know every one of them by name, and You know the places where they are tired, afraid, or far from where they hoped to be. I ask You to meet each of them today in a way that only You can.
Father, I pray for their hearts. Where there is resentment from old childhood hurts, soften it. Where there is distance because of words that were said or never said, bring the courage to reach out and the humility to listen. Give us patience with one another when our differences feel large, and remind us that we share the same parents, the same memories, and the same need for Your grace.
I also ask You to watch over their health, their work, their marriages and children, and their finances. Provide what they need, guard them from harm, and let them feel Your nearness in the ordinary hours. Keep our family close to You, so that whatever happens between us, we are held together in You. Amen.
A Shorter Version to Pray in a Moment
Lord, I bring my brothers and sisters to You right now. Bless them, protect them, and heal whatever is broken between us. Help me love them the way You love them, patiently and truthfully. Let peace take root in our family, and let them know they are never alone. Amen.

How to Pray This Prayer
Many people find it helpful to pray for their siblings in the quiet of early morning, before the day’s messages and obligations arrive. Sit somewhere you can be undisturbed, perhaps at a kitchen table with a cup of coffee. You might write each sibling’s name on a slip of paper and place it in front of you, then pray through the names one at a time.
This prayer can also be shared. If you have a spouse, a close friend, or a parent who knows your family well, ask them to pray it with you or to pray it on their own for your siblings. Some families keep a running list in a notebook or phone note, adding requests as they come up and marking answers with thanksgiving.
A Blessing to Close
May the Lord bless each brother and sister in your family and keep them safe in His care. May He make His face shine upon them and give them peace in every season. May they know, with certainty, that they are deeply loved by God and by one another.
