This daily prayer for loved ones is written for the people you carry in your heart, whether that is a spouse, a child, a parent, a friend, or someone who is struggling far from home. Pray it in the morning before the day gets loud, or at night as you close your eyes. You can read it aloud exactly as written, or use it as a starting point and speak your own names and worries into the same shape.
Daily Prayer for Loved Ones
Father, I bring to you the people I love today. You know each of them by name, and you know the things they are carrying that I cannot see. Be near them in their work, their school, their driving, and their rest. Guard their health and their minds, and give them enough sleep and enough peace to meet the hours ahead. Where they are anxious about money, relationships, or the future, settle their hearts with the reminder that you are already present in every situation.
Lord, I also ask you to heal what is broken between us and between them and others. Soften the words that wound, and give us patience with each other’s failures. Where someone feels lonely or forgotten, let them sense your nearness through a kind word, a phone call, or a quiet moment. Give me the grace to be a steady presence rather than a source of pressure, and help me to listen before I speak. Shape their character as they grow, and let my love for them point them back to your love for them.
Keep watch over the coming hours and days, Father. Go before each of them, walk beside them, and be a rear guard behind them when they cannot see the way. Whatever I cannot control, I place in your hands, trusting that you love them more than I ever could. Amen.
A Shorter Version to Pray in a Moment
Lord, you know the people I love and the weight they carry today. Hold them close and keep them safe. Give them rest where they are tired, courage where they are afraid, and wisdom where they are unsure. Let them feel your peace, and let me be a loving presence in their lives as you lead the way. Amen.

They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.

How to Pray This Prayer
Choose a regular moment that fits your routine, such as while the coffee brews, during the drive to work, or just before you fall asleep. Keep a list of names on a note in your phone or on a card by the sink so you can move through them without rushing. If you have a physical reminder, such as a photo or a ring you wear, hold it in your hand as you pray and let it cue you to speak each person’s name aloud.
You do not need to pray this alone. Invite a spouse, a friend, or a small group to pray the same words over the same people, and ask them to tell you when God answers. Share requests with someone who will remember them with you, and return to those requests on the days when your own prayers feel thin.
A Blessing to Close
May the Lord bless the people you love and keep them in every season. May his face shine upon them, and may they know they are seen, known, and held. May peace settle over their days, and may they grow in love for God and for one another.
