This daily prayer for my wife is written for the start of the day, when the house is still quiet and there is time to bring her before God before the rush begins. You can read it aloud exactly as written, or use it as a starting point and speak your own words in the spaces between the lines. Either way, the aim is the same: to entrust her to the Lord and ask for His care over the hours ahead.
Daily Prayer for My Wife
Lord, I come to You this morning with my wife on my heart. Thank You for her, for the particular way You made her, and for the years You have given us together. Before she wakes to the day’s demands, I place her in Your hands. Give her rest that was real, and a sense of Your nearness even if she slept poorly. Watch over her body, her energy, and her health, and show us both where to be careful and where to trust.
Father, meet her in the places where she carries worry. Some of it is about our home, our money, and our children. Some of it is about her work, her friendships, or the things she has not said out loud. Quiet her mind and steady her heart. Where she is afraid, be her courage. Where she is tired, be her strength. Help her to know she is not carrying anything alone, because You are with her in every room she enters today.
Lord, make me a husband who loves her well today, with patience, kindness, and attention. Help me to listen before I speak, to serve without keeping score, and to speak the words of encouragement she needs to hear. Let her see Your faithfulness in the way I treat her, and let our marriage be a place of peace and honesty. Protect her from harm, guide her decisions, and bring her home to me in the evening with a thankful heart. Amen.
A Shorter Version to Pray in a Moment

How to Pray This Prayer
Many couples find that the early morning works best, before the phone and the schedule take over. Sit somewhere quiet, such as the kitchen table with a cup of coffee or the edge of the bed before you get up. Keeping a hand on her side of the bed, or holding her hand if she is with you, can make the prayer feel personal and present.
You do not need to pray it perfectly or in one sitting. If the day gets away from you, pray a line of it at lunch or in the car on the way home. Invite your children or a trusted friend to pray with you for her, and let them know specifically what she is facing so their prayers can be focused and sincere.
A Blessing to Close
May the Lord bless your wife and keep her safe through this day. May He make His face shine upon her and give her grace for every task, peace for every worry, and joy in every small kindness. May she feel loved, known, and held by the God who never leaves her, and may she go to rest tonight in the assurance of His goodness.
