This is a daily prayer for your daughter, written so you can read it aloud over her each morning or pray it in your own words as a starting point. Pray it before she leaves for school, work, or whatever her day holds, or in the quiet hour when you are thinking about her most. You can read it exactly as written or let it guide you toward the things on your heart.

Daily Prayer for My Daughter

Father, I bring my daughter to you today. You knew her before she was born, and you know every hour ahead of her, including the parts she cannot see yet. Thank you for the gift of her life. Help her to wake up knowing she is loved, not because of what she does but because she belongs to you. Guard her body and her mind as she moves through this day, and give her rest when she needs it.

Lord, give her wisdom for the choices she will face, the small ones over breakfast and the harder ones that come with friendships, school, work, and the pressures that build quietly. When she feels unsure of herself, remind her of who she is in you. When she compares herself to others, quiet that voice and let her see her own worth. Protect her heart from fear, loneliness, and discouragement, and keep her close to people who will build her up.

I also ask that she would grow in faith, not only in what she believes but in how she lives. Let her kindness be real, her courage steady, and her honesty gentle but clear. Surround her with wise friends and godly mentors, and help her to bring every need to you before she carries it alone. Keep her safe in every place she goes, and bring her home to us at the end of the day. Amen.

A Shorter Version to Pray in a Moment

Lord, I lift up my daughter to you right now. Go before her in this day, steady her heart, and give her wisdom for what she will face. Keep her safe, keep her close to you, and let her know she is loved. Thank you for watching over her in every hour. Amen.

How to Pray This Prayer

Many parents find the early morning works best, while the house is still quiet and before the day gets loud. Sit somewhere you can be still, perhaps with a cup of coffee in your hands or with a hand resting on her bedroom door as she sleeps. If she is not with you, you can still pray while driving her to school or as you watch her walk toward the door.

You might also invite someone else to pray with you, such as a spouse, a friend, or another parent who cares about her. Praying together can help you stay steady on the days when your own words feel thin. Let the prayer be a habit you return to, even when some days feel rushed or forgetful.

A Blessing to Close

May the Lord bless your daughter and keep her in every step of this day. May his face shine on her and give her peace, and may she grow up knowing she is deeply loved by the God who made her.
