This daily prayer for my business is written for anyone who carries the weight of a company, a shop, a practice or a side venture and wants to bring it before God each morning. Pray it before you open your email or unlock the front door, while the day is still quiet. You can read it aloud exactly as written, or use it as a starting point and speak your own words where your concerns differ.
Daily Prayer for My Business
Lord, I come to You this morning with the business You have placed in my hands. You know the numbers I check at night and the ones I dread opening. You know the customers who depend on what we offer, the employees who trust me with their paychecks, and the bills that arrive whether sales are strong or slow. Help me to remember that this work belongs to You first. Give me clear thinking when decisions are hard, and wisdom to tell the difference between a good plan and a proud one.
Father, guard my integrity when shortcuts look tempting. Let my word be good, my prices fair, and my promises kept, even when no one is watching and even when honesty costs me something. Bring the right people across my path, both those who will help us grow and those who will keep me accountable. When competitors seem to be winning, steady my heart so I do not measure my worth by the scoreboard. Give me patience with the slow seasons and gratitude in the good ones. Thank You for every customer served and every small success. Amen.
A Shorter Version to Pray in a Moment
Lord, I bring my business to You again. Give me wisdom for the next decision, honesty in every conversation, and peace in the uncertain places. Help my team and my customers feel Your kindness through the way I work today. Keep me from fear and from pride, and let my work be an honest offering to You. Amen.

How to Pray This Prayer
Many people find it helpful to pray this prayer before the first task of the workday, such as before opening the laptop, reviewing the schedule or walking into the shop. Choose a quiet corner of your home, your car before you go inside, or a chair in the back office. Keeping a pen nearby can help, since you may want to write down one specific concern to carry into the day.
If you run your business with a partner, a manager or a small team, consider praying this prayer together once a week or invite them to pray the shorter version with you. Your spouse, a pastor or a trusted friend who understands your work can also pray it over you. Sharing the burden often makes it lighter and keeps you honest about what you are asking God to do.
A Blessing to Close
May the Lord go before this business and walk beside the one who leads it. May He give clear direction, faithful people and fair dealings in every season. May the work of your hands bring honor to His name and good to those you serve, and may you rest in the knowledge that He is faithful to finish what He has begun.
