This daily prayer for my faith is written for the mornings when you want your trust in God to be steady before the day pulls at you. Pray it first thing, while the house is still quiet, or at any point when your belief feels thin. You can read it aloud exactly as written, or use it as a starting point and speak in your own words.
Daily Prayer for My Faith
Lord, I come to you before anything else today. You know how easily my faith slips into routine, how I can say the right words and still feel far from you. Teach me to trust you with the things I cannot control, including the job that feels uncertain, the conversation I have been dreading, and the questions I have not yet found words for. Help me believe that you are near even when I cannot sense it.
Strengthen the parts of me that grow weary. When I forget what you have already done, remind me gently. When I drift toward worry or pride, bring me back to the simple truth that you are good and that I belong to you. Let my faith show up in small, ordinary choices: patience with the people I love, honesty at work, and kindness to the stranger I would rather ignore.
Father, I give you this day with its plans and its surprises. Keep my heart open to your voice and my hands ready to serve. Whatever I face, let me meet it with a faith that rests in you and not in my own strength. Amen.
A Shorter Version to Pray in a Moment
Lord, I am asking you to hold my faith today. When I feel anxious or distracted, steady me. When I doubt, remind me that you have been faithful before and you will be faithful again. Help me take one honest step toward you in this moment, and trust you with the next one. Amen.

How to Pray This Prayer
Many people find the early morning works best, before phones and messages begin to compete for attention. Sit at the kitchen table with a cup of something warm, or stand by a window where you can see the light change. Keep a pen nearby so you can write down any concern that surfaces, then bring it back to God at the close of the prayer.
If you have a spouse, a friend, or a small group, invite them to pray it with you or to pray it for you on the days you feel stretched. You might also keep a copy on your bedside table or in your wallet, so the words are close at hand when a difficult moment catches you off guard.
A Blessing to Close
May the Lord who has kept faith with you for every year of your life keep faith with you today. May he steady your heart, guard your mind, and walk beside you through every hour, so that you rest in him and go forward in peace.
